Ayurvedic Postpartum Care For Whole Body Renewal
Stepping into motherhood is a sacred initiation—a tender, powerful time where the body, heart, and spirit are ripe and wide open for healing. The first 42 days after birth, called 'The Sacred Window', mark a profound period of transformation and a maternal rebirth.
During these first six weeks, the newborn mother's nervous system as delicate and sensitive as her newborn. She is not only recovering from birth—but is actually being reborn. This Sacred Window is a crucial time for the mother to be deeply nourished and nurtured so that she can offer the most exceptional love to her baby.
This transformational time creates a unique opportunity to recalibrate the mother's well-being and rebuild vitality for the next 42 years to come.
At Lantana Wellness, our signature 4–6 weeks of Postpartum Immersion offers an extended sanctuary of care featuring holistic nutrition, tailored herbal support, and loving touch to allow deep rest for both mother and baby. Created to hold new mothers through the rawness of early motherhood, we designed our program for holistic-minded families seeking natural postpartum recovery.

Nutrition Support
Nutrition is aimed at supporting digestion, restoration, hydration, and lactation. After childbirth, mom's digestive fire is weakened and needs to be rekindled and supported. Ayurveda focuses on balanced, seasonal meals that are warm, oily, and moist; with sweet, sour & salty tastes to bring balance to Vata dosha (wind) in mother's delicate physiology. All dietary preference welcome.

Belly Binding
Belly Binding involves tightly wrapping a comfortable cloth bind around the belly in order to regain the strength and structure of the abdomen after delivery. This practice helps speed up postpartum recovery by expelling excess Vata dosha, (wind) from the abdominal and uterine cavities, stabilizing back muscles, reducing abdominal swelling, and providing internal organ support.

Herbal Medicine
Herbal medicines have been used in postpartum care for millennia. Specific herbal formulas are carefully selected based on mother's condition in order to maximize healing & recovery. You can expect to be supported by customized herbal teas, herbal jams & syrups, herbal oils, and even healing herbal baths–all lovingly prepared to replenish energy and restore balance.

Healing Bodywork
Postpartum Abhyanga is a deeply nourishing full-body treatment that supports mother’s physical & mental recovery. Warm, herb-infused oils are gently massaged onto the body, increasing lymph flow and helping to reduce swelling, aches, & pains. Abhyanga grounds the nervous system, soothes mental fatigue, and replenishes energy depleted from delivery.
